Cariaggi: Cashmere in Motion
Cashmere is understood through touch. Its softness, lightness and elasticity become clear in the hand.
At Pitti Filati, Cariaggi needed those qualities to register across the space before anyone reached for a sample.
Large textiles wrapped around the dancers, then folded, opened and gathered with their bodies. Air and gravity revealed its character at a scale that a static display could not.
fffilms.it developed a film around the fabric itself.
RACK carried the same idea into the architecture. Rounded volumes and continuous curves echoed the fabric as it changed shape around the dancers.
The screen sat within the architecture, not beside it. Its imagery continued through the curves of the booth.
Cariaggi returned with a presentation rooted in what made its cashmere distinctive.
The visual language did not need to be placed around the product. It came from the material itself.
