Feel the X Attitude at SpinExpo Shanghai. An immersive exhibition system for wool and cashmere, designed to evolve across seasons.
The project started with a simple idea: not to build a booth for one season only, but to create a visual and spatial system that could continue evolving over time.
For SpinExpo Shanghai, the goal was to move away from a standard fair presentation and create an environment where wool and cashmere could be experienced through image, material, light, and atmosphere. The focus was not only on showing yarns, but on giving them a stronger physical and emotional presence in space.
Moving image, macro photography, printed textiles, and warm lighting worked together as one coherent exhibition language. An organic frame structured the booth, while fabric walls and semi-transparent textile prints added depth, layering, and a strong sense of material identity.
What made the project especially important was its ability to continue beyond a single edition. The spatial logic was flexible enough to be reinterpreted for later themes and future presentations, including Metachroma, Sense of Light, and later the 2026 edition From Fibre to Continuity.
Instead of rebuilding the visual language from zero each season, the project created a foundation that could adapt while keeping a clear identity. The atmosphere changed, the theme evolved, but the core method remained the same: using space, light, image, and material to make fibers feel more alive, immersive, and memorable.
This made the booth more than a one-season installation. It became a flexible presentation tool that could respond to new themes while keeping the same visual logic and spatial identity.
This kind of approach is especially useful for fairs and recurring presentations, where each edition needs something new without starting again from zero. It allows the space to change with the theme, while keeping a clear and recognizable identity.
For Rack, the project remains a strong example of how a good exhibition concept can keep growing over time, turning each new edition into part of a larger and more coherent system.
