Cashmere Immersion: An Evening Designed to Be Remembered
Feel the X Attitude introduced a new exhibition language for Xinao. Cashmere Immersion took that language far beyond the stand.
Xinao hosted 500 guests at W Hotel Shanghai inside an environment wrapped by 168 metres of curved LED surfaces. Moving image extended through the space and around the audience, shaping the atmosphere from arrival to speeches and dinner.
The scale created a particular challenge. The architecture was divided across many surfaces, while each stage of the evening required different content. If the screens behaved like individual displays, the room would break into fragments. The experience needed to feel continuous.
RACK treated the LED system as part of the space, not as a backdrop. Wool and cashmere were expanded into colour, texture and motion, placing the materials inside a visual world large enough to surround the audience.
Each stage of the event was built from multiple 24K video pieces. X-shaped forms reached the edges of each piece and aligned with the neighbouring videos, visually locking the separate sections together like a puzzle.
Those designed joins referenced the X in Xinao while suggesting stitches and connection. Across the curved LED surfaces, they made multiple files read as one continuous composition. There was no obvious beginning or end. The imagery appeared to keep moving around the room.
The pace and intensity changed as the evening moved from one moment to the next, but the visual language remained recognisable. The same system could accompany a speech, shape the atmosphere during dinner or open into a more immersive sequence.
After the event, Xinao carried the same X-shaped connections into its graphics and videos. Three years later, they remain part of the brand's visual language.
