Live the X Attitude: Four Editions of Growing Ambition in Florence
During Pitti Filati 2023, Xinao presented in Florence for the first time. The company was entering a new market while buyers, designers and producers from across the yarn industry were gathered in the city.
The event took place independently at Palazzina Reale, whose location and architecture gave Xinao a destination of its own. With Pitti schedules already crowded, clients still needed a clear reason to include it in their time in Florence.
RACK kept the commercial purpose at the centre. An octagonal structure organised colour cards, samples and meeting tables. Around it, panoramic moving image brought images of wool and cashmere, landscapes and magnified material details into the space.
Meetings unfolded inside this visual field. The imagery gave the setting scale and movement without interrupting the practical reason people were there: to examine the collections and talk business.
Xinao returned in 2024 and again in 2025. Each edition brought a different material story and atmosphere, giving clients a new reason to visit.
In 2026, the direction grew bolder through a collaboration with Fondazione Pistoletto Cittadellarte.
For Threads of Connection, six artists and designers worked with wool, cashmere, textile samples and recovered materials. Yarn entered the exhibition as artistic material, not only as product.
Four consecutive editions established Xinao's recurring presence in Florence. The 2026 collaboration showed how far the first introduction had travelled: from presenting a brand in a new market to placing its yarn in the territory of art.
